NAME
emprecov - recover an EMPRESS database from a device or file

SYNOPSIS
       emprecov [-a file] [-f] [-v] database

DESCRIPTION
Emprecov reads a copy of theEMPRESS database from a device or file and
updates it from a recovery log (specified by one of the EMPRESS vari-
ables MSDBRECOVERYLOG1 or MSDBRECOVERYLOG2), first removing any current
version of database. Access to database is disabled during the pro-
cess. Emprecov asks the user for information (such as which recovery
log to use) and confirmation during the restoration process. The copy
on the device or file must have been previously created by emparch.
The default device used is /dev/rmt0. The restoration method used is
cpio or tar (or some other) depending on the system.

-a file Reads a copy of EMPRESS database from file. File can be a
                 device or a file.

       -f Forces execution without confirmation.

       -v Verbose mode.
