NAME
empupgrd - upgrades the databases created by the earlier release of
Empress to be at least compatible to Version 8.62.

SYNOPSIS
       empupgrd [-f] database

DESCRIPTION
Empupgrd enbles Empress Version 8.62 to access databases that are cre-
ated with the earlier release of Empress. This command will not enable
the new features of the Version 8.62. It simply makes the databases
compatible to allow Version 8.62 Empress to access the data. In order
to use the new features, you need to use the command empcnvt.

Once the database is upgraded, only Empress Version 8.62 can access the
database. You are recommanded to back up the database prior executing
       this command.

-f force mode. Do it without prompting user. You must ensure no one
                 is accessing the database.
